### House GOP: More Talks, More Drama, Same Old Story So, a bunch of House Republicans, from hard-liners to party bigwigs, decided to have a little pow-wow in Speaker Mike Johnson’s office. This wasn’t just a casual chat; they’re plotting their next move, and they want it to be party-line all the way. Sounds riveting, right? Among the usual suspects were Budget Chair Jodey Arrington and Republican Study Chair August Pfluger, both from Texas, because apparently, they don’t have enough of a say already. Other big names like Chip Roy, Byron Donalds, and Tom McClintock were also there, along with a couple of guys from Pennsylvania—because why not bring more cooks into the kitchen? Johnson, ever the optimist, declared they’re “definitely preparing to move forward” with some grand plans involving a nifty budget reconciliation process to bypass the filibuster. How original. He even mentioned they’re “talking about more details” and that “lots of work [is] going on.” Must be exhausting work, right? Now, here’s the kicker: there’s a massive divide between House and Senate Republicans. The House crew wants a big, flashy bill packed with all kinds of conservative goodies to go along with their endless war and defense spending. Meanwhile, the Senate folks want to keep things nice and tidy, focusing on something far less ambitious. What a surprise! So, while they hash out their differences, the rest of us are left wondering: isn’t this the same old song and dance we’ve seen over and over?
