### Senators Want to Peek at Epstein Docs—Good Luck with That A bunch of bipartisan senators has decided it’s time to poke the Government Accountability Office (GAO) about the Department of Justice’s (DOJ) handling of documents tied to, you guessed it, the notorious Jeffrey Epstein. According to their letter, which somehow got leaked, they’re worried about all those redactions—millions of them, apparently. You’ve got to love how these senators are suddenly concerned about transparency on a case that’s been shrouded in secrecy for ages. It’s like someone finally remembered the Epstein saga isn’t just a tabloid headline but a serious mess involving powerful people. Yet here we are, years later, and they’re just now asking, “Hey, what’s with all the blacked-out stuff?” Let’s not pretend this is going to lead to any real answers. The DOJ has been playing the redaction game like a pro, and the senators’ concerns feel more like a formality than a genuine attempt to uncover anything. It’s classic government behavior: make a big show of asking questions while knowing full well they’ll get the usual bureaucratic brush-off. So, what’s really going on here? Is it just a case of politicians needing to look busy or relevant while the public is still scratching their heads about how a guy like Epstein could have operated for so long without anyone really looking? In the end, good luck getting anything useful out of this. Maybe they’ll find a few more pages to redact before it’s all said and done. But hey, at least they’re trying, right? Or at least pretending to.
