### Where’s Nancy? Media Misses the Mark Again So, Nancy Guthrie is missing, and local law enforcement thinks she’s “still out there.” That’s reassuring. Five days after her family reported her missing, they’re still playing the waiting game. Meanwhile, her children, including the ever-popular Savannah Guthrie from the “Today” show, are begging the internet for help. Because, you know, social media is definitely the best place to find a missing person. Enter Chip Massey, a retired FBI hostage negotiator, who’s now a go-to expert for all things missing. He hops onto “The Daily Report” to lend his insights, which is great. But let’s be real, what’s he going to say? “Keep looking”? It’s almost as if the media loves a good missing person story. They get to mix in some drama and a sprinkle of celebrity, while the actual situation remains clouded in uncertainty. The focus should be on what the authorities are doing, but instead, we get a parade of emotional appeals and vague updates. Maybe it’s time to ask why it takes days to find someone in this age of technology. Are the search efforts really that robust, or are they just stringing us along for the narrative? In the end, it’s just another reminder that when it comes to serious issues, we might be better off relying on common sense than the latest headlines. Where’s the urgency?
