### Photo ID for Voting: A No-Brainer, But Here We Are So, the Senate is wrangling over the SAVE Act and voting changes while a shiny new CBS News poll reveals that most Americans think requiring a photo ID to vote is a great idea. Shocking, right? You’d think lawmakers would be jumping on this like it’s the latest TikTok dance trend. CBS’s election guru, Anthony Salvanto, took the time to sift through the numbers. Guess what? A solid chunk of the public isn’t just okay with photo IDs—they actually support it. But let’s pause for a moment. Why is this even a debate? It’s almost as if some people think the average American can’t figure out how to show an ID, while they can somehow navigate the complexities of voting. Instead of celebrating this common-sense approach, we’re stuck listening to endless arguments about “voter suppression.” But isn’t it funny how the same folks who scream about disenfranchisement don’t seem to have a problem with requiring IDs for just about everything else? You can’t board a flight, buy booze, or even get into a club without showing a photo ID. But voting? Well, that’s special, apparently. So as the politicos bicker, just remember: the majority of people are on the same page here. The real question is, why are so many in power so resistant to common sense? Maybe it’s just easier to keep stirring the pot than to actually listen to what people want.
