### Iran Says They’ll Hit Back If We Hit Them — Shocking, Right? So, the Iranian foreign minister has decided to issue a not-so-subtle threat: if the U.S. strikes Iran, they’ll retaliate against American military bases across the Middle East. Because, you know, that’s the kind of logic you expect in international relations — someone hits you, and you hit back. Groundbreaking stuff. He goes on to state that “U.S. bases are spread all over the region.” Wow, you mean we have a military presence in a volatile area? Who could’ve guessed? It’s almost as if the U.S. has been poking the bear for years, and now that the bear is growling back, we’re supposed to act surprised. The minister claims it’s “very clear” what would happen if the U.S. attacks. Clearly, he has a point. If someone punches you, you’re likely to punch back. It’s not rocket science, folks. He’s also hinting at a lack of capability on his side, which is a nice touch of humility, but let’s not pretend this isn’t just posturing for the home front. So, here we are, caught in the never-ending cycle of threats and counter-threats, while the media spins it all into a dramatic narrative about how the world is on the brink of catastrophe. But really, isn’t this just business as usual in geopolitics? Can we all just agree that this is a predictable game of tit-for-tat? Or is that too much common sense for the news cycle?
