### Florida Voters Say “No Thanks” to GOP Map-Making Shenanigans
So, Florida lawmakers are thinking about redrawing the congressional map halfway through the decade. In a shocking twist, more than half of voters — 56% to be exact — think that’s a terrible idea. Only 44% are on board with this mid-cycle makeover.
What’s even more amusing? About two-thirds of those surveyed believe the redistricting is just a ploy for political advantage, instead of some noble attempt to serve the people. But hey, why listen to the voters when you can just redraw the lines to suit your needs?
It’s almost like people are starting to catch on to the fact that when politicians talk about “reform,” they often mean “let’s change the rules to keep ourselves in power.” Who would’ve thought?
As always, the real question is: when did voters magically become the least important part of the equation?
