### New Bipartisan Bill: A Shield for Permits or Just More Political Theater? So here we are with the CERTAIN Act, a “bipartisan” effort that promises to keep politics out of lawfully issued permits. How noble! Apparently, the idea is to boost accountability during the review process and make sure projects don’t get stuck in bureaucratic limbo. Because who doesn’t want to build infrastructure that can actually keep up with our energy needs, right? But let’s take a moment to examine the fine print. This sounds great on paper, but isn’t it a little rich coming from the same folks who love to play political ping-pong with everything? You know, the same politicians who, when it suits them, can’t resist inserting their agendas into any discussion about infrastructure? Sure, let’s all pretend this new bill will magically streamline the process and ensure that projects get built on time. But can we really trust that the same system that’s been bogged down by red tape for decades is suddenly going to change just because they slapped a new name on it? In the end, it seems like the CERTAIN Act is more about looking good than actually getting things done. Politicians love to tout bipartisan efforts, but how often do those efforts translate into real change? So, will this bill actually lead to progress, or is it just another shiny object to distract us while the usual nonsense continues?
