### “So Much for Supporting the Troops, Right?”
An active-duty U.S. soldier’s wife just got snagged by ICE during a routine immigration appointment. Yep, you heard that right. While her husband is out serving the country, she’s facing deportation.
What’s the deal here? The military is supposed to support families, but it seems like there’s a huge hole in that narrative. You’d think there would be some kind of protection for spouses of active-duty servicemen, but apparently, that’s not how the system works.
In the midst of all the talk about valuing our troops, this situation just shows how the reality of immigration enforcement can completely contradict the feel-good slogans.
