### AI Panic in Washington: What Are They Really Afraid Of? So, the House Committee on Homeland Security is bringing in Anthropic for a secret meeting about their Mythos cybersecurity model. Apparently, the folks in Washington are really losing sleep over the potential dangers of artificial intelligence. A “source” — you know, the kind that never wants to show their face — leaked that this briefing will cover “capabilities” and “national security implications.” Sounds fancy, right? But let’s be real: when insiders start talking about national security, it’s usually a smokescreen for something a lot less glamorous. Is anyone else curious why we need a closed-door session to discuss AI? It’s almost like they’re trying to keep the public out of the loop while they scramble to catch up with technology they don’t fully understand. And what about the actual people using AI? Their opinions are just… missing. So, here we are, once again, with politicians wringing their hands over something they can’t control, while the rest of us are left wondering what the real agenda is. Are they genuinely worried about AI, or is this just another opportunity to flex their power while pretending to protect us? I guess we’ll just have to wait and see what they decide to spin after the meeting. In the meantime, let’s hope they don’t accidentally turn the AI into something that can outsmart them. Wouldn’t that be ironic?
