### This Judge Thinks Jail is Too Tough for a Guy Who Attacked a Dinner
So, a federal judge decided it was time to step in and give a little sympathy to Cole Allen, the guy who thought it was a good idea to attack the White House Correspondents’ Dinner. The judge was apparently moved enough to apologize to Allen for the “overly restrictive” conditions at the D.C. jail. Yes, you read that right.
This judge must’ve missed the memo that jail isn’t meant to be a spa retreat. Instead of focusing on the fact that someone tried to disrupt an event meant for journalists and politicians, we get a judge worried about the guy’s comfort. Because clearly, the real issue here is the harshness of the jail experience, not the crime itself.
It’s always fascinating how some folks in the justice system can find their hearts for the accused, especially when the crime involves a high-profile event. Meanwhile, the countless people in jail for minor offenses? Well, they don’t seem to get the same level of concern.
Is it too much to ask for a little consistency? Or is this just another case of selective compassion depending on the situation? At this rate, maybe we should start a new trend: “Comfortable Criminals.”
