### Here We Go Again: Another Special Election in New Jersey
So, in the latest episode of “Who Will Fill This Seat?” we have Democrat Analilia Mejia squaring off against Republican Joe Hathaway for a House seat vacated by none other than New Jersey Governor Mikie Sherrill.
Mejia’s surprise primary win earlier this year was hailed as a victory for the progressives. Because, you know, the more progressive voices, the better, right? Or at least that’s the spin.
Now, she’s expected to easily take down Hathaway. The polls are closing at 8 p.m. EDT, but let’s face it — if you’re betting on a shocking upset here, you might want to reconsider your life choices.
So, what’s the play? Yet another progressive in office, while the media pats itself on the back for promoting the narrative that more progressives equals more progress. Isn’t it comforting to know that the political machine churns on, regardless of who’s at the wheel? Can’t wait to see how this one plays out.
