### Rand Paul Flirts with 2028 Presidential Run – Because Why Not? So, it looks like Rand Paul is tossing his hat in the ring for the 2028 presidential race. In a recent interview, he casually mentioned it’s a “fifty-fifty” chance while suggesting he’ll make a final call after the midterms. You know, just your typical political strategy of keeping options open while the dust settles. Let’s rewind to 2016 when Paul ran for president on a libertarian platform and then quickly exited stage left after flopping in Iowa and running dry on funds. Instead of a grand political journey, he opted to stick around in the Senate, which is apparently where all the fun is—if you consider endless debates and budget talks thrilling. He’s had a bit of a rocky romance with the GOP and Trump, often standing alone on various issues like a kid at the school dance. Most recently, he was the odd Republican out supporting a measure to rein in Trump’s war powers regarding Iran. Because nothing says party loyalty like going rogue in a room full of yes-men. Let’s not forget about dear old dad, Ron Paul, who thought running for president three times was a solid career move—once as a Libertarian and twice as a Republican. Clearly, the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree. So, will Rand Paul actually run? Who knows. But let’s hope he’s got a better plan this time around than just hoping for a miracle. After all, what’s the worst that could happen?
