### “Democrats and Republicans Play Blame Game While TSA Agents Go Unpaid” It’s been nearly a month since the Department of Homeland Security went into a funding freeze, and guess what? Democrats and White House officials are still spinning their wheels with no real movement on a deal. You’d think they’d be in a rush to resolve this, especially with TSA agents now missing their paychecks. But here we are. Two weeks ago, the White House tossed out a proposal to get things back on track, which includes tweaks to the Trump-era immigration policies. But Democrats? They’ve yet to respond with a formal counteroffer. Instead, they’re too busy airing their grievances about federal agents shooting U.S. citizens. Real classy, right? Meanwhile, airport security lines are about to get longer as TSA agents are starting to feel the pinch. If you think people are frustrated now, just wait until more agents decide to call in sick or quit. Republicans are crossing their fingers that this pressure will finally prompt Democrats to negotiate. But are they really that hopeful, or just playing a game of political chicken? Democrats are waving their legislative flags, ready to finance TSA and other DHS components, but every time they ask for a vote, Republicans play hard to get. Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer has the audacity to say the Republicans are the ones blocking progress while he stands there with a straight face. On the flip side, the Trump administration claims they’re “frequently” chatting with Democrats, but the latter say they’re not seeing any real changes in immigration tactics. It’s like watching two kids argue over a toy while the rest of us just want to play. Now, here’s where it gets juicy. Republicans are trying to kickstart negotiations, but Democrats are wary of being lured into a trap, especially with Stephen Miller, the supposed puppet master behind Trump’s hard-line agenda, lingering in the background. The Democrats want their own negotiator in charge—but not him. Because apparently, having a reasonable conversation is asking too much. While both sides throw around accusations and vague proposals, the risk of serious airport disruptions looms large. TSA agents are already quitting, and airport officials in Denver are asking the public to cough up gift cards to help these workers. Is this what we’ve come to? The irony is thick. The administration is managing to keep most of the DHS workforce funded through last year’s GOP spending bill. But Democrats are still holding out, refusing to let go of their demands. They’re so concerned about immigrant rights and government workers that they’re willing to allow TSA agents to go unpaid. Talk about a head-scratcher. So, while the blame game continues, the real question is: How long until the politicians stop playing with our air travel and actually start acting like they give a damn?
