### Here We Go Again: Snowmageddon Hits the East Coast
So, it’s that time of year again. A “major winter storm” is barreling through the mid-Atlantic and Northeast, and we’re all supposed to act surprised. The National Weather Service, the go-to for weather drama, is warning us about heavy snow starting Sunday night and dragging on into Monday.
They claim we’re in for snowfall rates of 2 to 3 inches per hour. Great. Just what we need—more white stuff to shovel and slip in. If you think you’re going to get through this without a few “WTF” moments, think again.
And let’s just take a moment to appreciate that this is the same NWS that can’t seem to motivate itself to warn us about anything useful—like the real-life implications of, say, a pandemic or economic collapse—but they’re all over the weather like it’s a national emergency.
So, grab your shovels, folks! We’re about to find out just how many inches of snow they can pile on before we start questioning whether it’s really the weather that’s out of control—or just our expectations. Is this winter storm really a “major” event, or are we just bored with the usual headlines?
