### Headline: CBS Pulls the Strings on Colbert? Shocking, I Know So, here we go again. Stephen Colbert, the late-night king of snark, is claiming that CBS gave him a little nudge — or maybe a shove — to not air an interview with Texas Democrat James Talarico. Why? Apparently, it might mess with the FCC’s “equal time” rule. You know, the rule that basically says if one political party gets airtime, the other has to get the same treatment. Now, let’s pause for a second. Isn’t it interesting that a network would rather play it safe than let its host chat with a candidate? It’s almost like they’re worried about their own bias showing, which is ironic coming from a network that loves to flaunt its liberal leanings. Colbert’s whining about censorship might sound dramatic, but let’s be real: is anyone surprised? Networks have a long history of picking and choosing what content they want to promote, all while pretending it’s about fairness. And here’s the kicker — isn’t it amusing how the “equal time” rule only seems to be a concern when it involves Democrats? You can bet your bottom dollar that if a Republican was on the chopping block, the rules would somehow loosen up. So, what’s the takeaway here? Colbert’s stuck in a corporate limbo, and we’re left with the same old dance where media outlets pretend to uphold neutrality while keeping a tight grip on the narrative. Classic. Maybe next time, CBS should just let Colbert do his thing. But then again, that wouldn’t fit the script, would it?
