### “Billionaire Claims He Knew Nothing While Paying Epstein Millions—Really?”
Leon Black strolled into the House Oversight Committee hearing, all high and mighty, claiming he had no clue about Jeffrey Epstein’s dark side while handing over tens of millions. His prepared remarks were a classic case of “trust me, I’m a billionaire.” He even had the gall to bemoan the “ugly and vicious narratives” spun about him, as if we’re all just supposed to take his word for it.
Naturally, the lawmakers weren’t buying it. House Oversight Chair James Comer thinks Black’s testimony could be the biggest bombshell yet in the Epstein saga—because, of course, it’s all about the drama, isn’t it? He even hinted that Black may have silenced some of Epstein’s victims with nondisclosure agreements. Sounds like a solid case for transparency, right?
Let’s not forget that Black knew about Epstein’s 2008 conviction but still decided to give him the “second chance” treatment, claiming Epstein dismissed it as a “fake ID” incident. Sure, because believing a convicted sex offender’s spin is always a smart move. And then there’s the part where Black mentions all the “prestigious” people who hung out with Epstein, as if their presence magically legitimized him. Newsflash: just because you rub elbows with the powerful doesn’t mean you’re not a monster.
Meanwhile, Clinton and Gates have already faced the music with the committee, and Ruemmler is slated for her turn in July. Black finally cut ties with Epstein in 2018 but only after getting fed up with Epstein’s relentless money grabs and fabrications. The irony is rich: a billionaire tired of someone else’s lies and demands.
He insists the sexual misconduct allegations against him are “baseless” and “fabricated,” which is a real eye-roller when you consider that a judge recently called out the law firm representing his accusers for “serious, sanctionable misconduct.” Yet, the lawsuit from a woman claiming Black raped her at 16 is still moving forward.
Rep. Robert Garcia, the top Democrat on the panel, pointed out the “numerous allegations of real abuse” against Black. But hey, what’s a few allegations when you’re a billionaire with powerful friends?
So, what’s the takeaway? Just another day in the world of rich people dodging accountability while playing the victim. And we’re supposed to swallow this whole narrative like it’s gospel? Right.
