### “So Now We’re Playing Nice with Iran?”
Retired General Jack Keane thinks the new US-Iran memorandum is a big deal. Apparently, it shows Trump is trading in military might for a more touchy-feely approach to foreign policy in the Middle East. Who knew that swapping bombs for boardroom deals was the new strategy?
Keane claims this is a “major shift” in priorities. Sure, if by “shift” you mean a pivot that’s as convenient as it is sudden. Because let’s face it, nothing says “we’re serious about peace” quite like a handshake after years of tension.
And here’s the kicker: they’re calling it a move toward “economic and political objectives.” So, in other words, we’re hoping to charm our way into some favorable trade agreements while pretending that military action is yesterday’s news.
Is anyone else catching the whiff of desperation here? When the going gets tough, let’s just sit down and chat it out, right? Because that’s worked out so well in the past.
So, is this a wise diplomatic dance, or just another round of political theater? You decide.
