### NASA’s Moon Missions: Chasing a Fantasy While We’ve Got Problems Down Here So, NASA’s gearing up for three moon missions this year. That’s right, folks—while many of us are just trying to keep our heads above water with the everyday nonsense here on Earth, NASA is busy plotting a lunar city. Because, you know, priorities. The bigwigs at NASA are particularly interested in setting up shop at the south pole of the moon. Presumably, they think that if they can establish a presence up there, the rest of us will finally feel safe and secure. Or maybe they just want to beat the other space agencies to the punch. Who knows? What’s missing from this shiny announcement? Any real discussion about the costs, the logistics, or the fact that we can barely manage the infrastructure we already have. But sure, let’s invest in moon bases while roads and bridges crumble. Sounds like a solid plan. In the end, it’s all about keeping the public dazzled with shiny rockets and lunar dreams. Meanwhile, the rest of us are left wondering when we’re going to get some attention here at home. Are we really ready to send people to the moon when we can’t even keep the lights on in some neighborhoods? Just a thought.
