### Another Election, Same Old Game: California’s Special Runoff
So, the special election for Eric Swalwell’s former House seat is going to a runoff. Shocking, right? No one got a majority, which feels like a classic California move. They just can’t seem to pick a winner without dragging it out.
Now we’ve got California state Sen. Aisha Wahab and Bay Area transportation official Melissa Hernandez as the last two standing. You have to wonder, though, why we’re even pretending this is exciting. It’s just two Democrats battling it out in a state where they practically own the whole political landscape.
And let’s not forget—this is a special election. You’d think the stakes would be high, but instead, it’s just another round of political musical chairs. Meanwhile, the voters are left wondering if their choices even matter.
Is anyone else tired of this tired script? At this rate, we might as well just skip to the runoff and save ourselves the trouble of pretending these candidates are going to change anything.
