### So, Khanna’s Upset Over Massie Losing? Here’s Why That’s a Head-Scratcher
Rep. Ro Khanna is feeling all sorts of sad and disappointed over Rep. Thomas Massie’s primary loss last week. You know, the kind of sadness that only comes when your political buddy gets booted out. Khanna, who was on NBC’s “Meet the Press,” called Massie a “real friend” and a “good man.” That’s cute.
Here’s the kicker: these two are about as far apart on the political spectrum as you can get. But they somehow found common ground on the Epstein Files Transparency Act, which aimed to shine a light on the shady dealings surrounding the convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. They even tried, and failed, to keep the U.S. out of a conflict with Iran.
That’s right—Massie’s courage in tackling powerful folks like Epstein and opposing war didn’t sit well with everyone. President Trump even took time out of his busy schedule to denounce Massie and back Ed Gallrein, the guy who took him down in the primary with a solid 55% of the vote.
Khanna thinks Massie lost for two reasons: first, he dared to challenge influential people and push for legislation that might actually help survivors of Epstein’s abuse. Second, he tried to block a war in Iran. Because, you know, who wants to stop wars and hold the powerful accountable? Apparently not the voters in Massie’s district.
And as if that wasn’t enough, Khanna is now calling for an end to the war with Iran. Well, isn’t that convenient timing? It’s like saying, “Hey, now that my friend is out, let’s finally negotiate.”
So, here’s a thought: maybe voters aren’t looking for courage or accountability. Maybe they just want someone who keeps their head down and plays the political game. Who needs transparency or peace when you can just keep the status quo humming along?
