### Ebola’s Back and No One Knows Why—Great!
So, here we go again. Ebola is making headlines as it rears its ugly head in central Africa, and the usual cast of health officials is sounding the alarm. Surprise, surprise, a new outbreak is linked to the oh-so-rare Bundibugyo strain. Just what we needed, right?
The World Health Organization (WHO) has decided to declare a global public health emergency. You’d think that would come with some concrete action, but no, it’s mostly just a lot of finger-pointing and travel restrictions. Because if there’s one thing that really helps in a crisis, it’s making sure people can’t get to where they need to go.
Reported cases are climbing in Congo and Uganda, but let’s not hold our breath for any real explanations. How did this happen? Why now? What’s missing from the narrative? It’s all a bit too convenient, isn’t it?
At the end of the day, we’re left with the same question we always ask: how many more times do we have to go through this? Maybe next time, someone should try to figure out what’s actually causing these outbreaks instead of just ringing the alarm bells.
