### “Calm Down, It’s Just the DOJ Trying to Play Nice Again” Rep. Byron Donalds is here to put out the fire over the DOJ’s shiny new “anti-weaponization fund.” His take? “Everybody’s losing their minds.” Well, that’s one way to put it. So, what’s the deal? Donalds insists that this isn’t some wild new experiment but rather a repeat performance from the Obama era when the IRS got its hand slapped for targeting certain groups. Apparently, history has a funny way of repeating itself when it comes to government shenanigans. But let’s roll our eyes at the idea that this is all just a casual stroll down memory lane. The DOJ’s fund is framed as a way to prevent misuse of power, which sounds great on paper. But if we dig a little deeper, we have to ask: what’s the actual incentive here? Is it really about protecting the little guy, or is it a savvy PR move to distract from other issues? You have to wonder what’s conveniently missing from this narrative. The DOJ has a history, and not all of it’s been glittery. It’s worth questioning whether this latest initiative will actually help anyone or just create more red tape for the average American. So, when the government says it’s trying to help, maybe it’s time to keep your guard up. Are we really supposed to believe this is just a simple case of the DOJ learning from its past mistakes, or is it all just more political theater?
